January 2016 – A driver was fortunate to escape serious injury when high winds sent a gate crashing into his car at a dealership on U.S. 19.
The impact of the gate peeled the top of the Acura back. Crews from Station 49 treated the man at the scene for issues related to flying glass, but he was not transported to the hospital. The incident happened about 8:30 this morning at Lokey Mercedes at 19820 U.S. 19 N.
